This section is intended to provide SIDS Coordinators with the tools and resources needed to plan and conduct effective SIDS training and risk reduction education programs. Professional training programs have been designed for emergency personnel, public health professionals, childcare providers/foster parents, and mortuary professionals. The SIDS Awareness program can be presented to individuals or agency staff serving expectant parents, families of newborns and/or can be adapted to promote SIDS risk education among the general population.
